Alonso earmarked by Red Bull for F1 race seat alongside Schumacher

Ralf Schumacher, a former F1 race winner, has suggested that Red Bull is considering Fernando Alonso for a race seat starting next season. Alonso, a two-time world champion currently with Aston Martin, has impressed with his performances but has not won a race in over a decade. With Mercedes needing a new driver due to Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari and uncertainty surrounding Sergio Perez’s future at Red Bull, speculation is rife about Alonso’s potential move. Schumacher mentioned in an interview with Sky Deutschland at the Australian Grand Prix that there are strong intentions to bring Alonso on board at Red Bull if Max Verstappen leaves the team. Alonso’s desire to win races and his recent strong performances have fueled these rumors, with Schumacher believing that Alonso would be a good fit for the team.
