Packers fans call for Jordan Love to start over Aaron Rodgers, who accepts blame

Green Bay Packers fans are calling for backup quarterback Jordan Love to start over Aaron Rodgers after horrible performances throughout the 2022 NFL season.

Rodgers, 38, accepted blame for Sunday’s loss to the Detroit Lions, telling media members that he had “some sh—y throws, for sure.”

Green Bay’s five-game skid leaves the team with a 3-6 record and Packers fans are calling for Rodgers’ job.

Rapper Lil Wayne took to Twitter to declare the Green Bay season dead and also said the team should have traded Rodgers in the offseason.

Rodgers threw a career-high three interceptions against Detroit, the first time since 2017 that he has more than two picks in one game.

Two of the INTs were inside the red zone, but Rodgers only completed 23 of 43 passes for 291 yards and a single touchdown pass to Allen Lazard.

Jordan Love would do more with less talent

Lions ended a streak of five consecutive losses, earning their first win since defeating the Washington Commanders in Week 2.

Packers are now 1-4 on the road, which has shed light on the team’s lack of moves made ahead of the NFL trade deadline.

The Green Bay brass failed to surround Rodgers with offensive weapons to replace a gaping hole left behind by wide receiver Davante Adams, who left for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Still, Rodgers has no excuse for his poor performances, and his anger directed at teammates would cease with Love, who wouldn’t ask for as much as the veteran QB.

The reigning, back-to-back league MVP is putting up the worst stats of his career with a 38.3 quarterback rating this season.
